Langley Country Park – Redrow Homes
If your dream is to have that country lifestyle without having to give up the benefits of city living, then Langley Country Park could offer exactly just that. Surrounded by farmland but only 2 miles from Derby city centre, and with excellent connections to the A52, is one of the latest developments by Redrow Homes. It is ideal for those who crave a contemporary lifestyle with the benefits of being close to nature and greenery.
The interior design of any Redrow show home oozes understated elegance, which also reflects the latest design trends. The Marlow (show home at Langley Country Park) is wrapped in soft and natural tones, evoking feelings of tranquillity and being surrounded by nature. The rest of the houses on the development are a neutral colour, – which our Coatings team have lovingly painted – all the finishes are of the same high standard.
Although the design of each room is different, the colours work very well together which creates an easy flow between the various areas of the house. One of the ways of achieving this, is by using the same brand paint and colour range. Choosing the right paint is key in creating a specific look. For this home, Redrow’s choice was Dulux Supermatt and Vinyl Matt, that our team have expertly applied.
The living room feels cosy, and the velvety carpet and supple sofas achieve a mellow mood. The clever interior design also enhances this softness by having a cushiony ottoman instead of a rigid coffee table in front of the 3-seater sofa. Smaller side tables are placed symmetrically on each side, allowing only a supporting role, instead of letting them take centre stage.
The open plan kitchen has country style units, wood effect flooring and marbled worktops, all inspired by nature. The texture and colour of the light-wood dining table top is mirrored by the cleverly placed accessories such as chopping boards, herb pots and picture frames. Similarly, the white frame of the dining chairs is echoed by the dining table frame and the charming little shelf on the wall.
The upholstered bedheads and indulgent fabrics make the bedrooms inviting and luxurious. Colour schemes are created by accents and finishing touches like accessories such as cushions, beddings, ornaments, pictures and picture frames. The wall colours remain a delicate toned-down pastel, which would allow to update the look of any room easily, as trends change.
Redrow’s interior design team use the currently very popular geometric patterns in a subtle way through soft furnishings such as bed linen, bed spreads and curtains etc., yet still absolutely on point with the latest design trends. Chest of drawers and built in wardrobes offer a great storage solution without overpowering the space.
The bathrooms have a relaxing spa feel, where the look is achieved by varying tones of metals and stones being in focus as accessories, along with earthy coloured soft towels set against a backdrop that continues to be inspired by nature.
