Family is at the heart of the four bedroom Cambridge. This type of house offers everything a modern family could need. Masses of space that would accommodate each family members’ individual needs and features that elevate the property into the ‘dream home’ category. There’s an en-suite to the master bedroom, an open plan kitchen which includes a day room and dining area, a separate utility and cloak room. There’s also a downstairs toilet, whilst upstairs a second bathroom is easily accessible from each room. A garage offers additional convenience.
The kitchen is in keeping with the current colour trends of soft muted greys. To create the look we contrasted one of Dulux’s darker greys against Dulux’s Romney Wool The huge space is multi-functional, incorporating both a dining room and a day room.
The houses ooze simple sophistication, using neutral tones throughout the different living spaces with accessories adding colour. One of the main benefits of this approach is versatility. It is easy to transform the look and feel of any room by changing the accessories. Here, the grey hues of the kitchen are translated into a silvery shimmer which is mirrored by Dulux’s Raw Cashmere on the walls. These soft colours are coupled with the teal shade of the accessories.
Dulux’s Ancient Sandstone adds warmth and a soft glow in Bedroom 3. The colour evokes feelings of mystery and images of Egyptian pyramids and the masculine look is achieved with accessories and colour accents.
In Bedroom 4 the elegant and trendy feel is created by the classic striped wallpaper by Sandberg – William: Pink (526-03). Hanging the wallpaper horizontally is a more edgy approach that creates a contemporary look by adding a crisp and polished element to the space.
The Oxford Lifestyle
The Oxford Lifestyle is traditional outside but modern inside and designed with you in mind. This well-proportioned 3 bedroom home offers en-suite bathrooms with each bedroom, a spacious kitchen with a separate utility room with its own entrance to the garden, a good sized lounge and an integrated garage. One of the main selling points of this home is the master bedroom that spreads across the entire depth of the property, featuring every women’s dream a walk-through wardrobe leading to the en-suite bathroom.
On the walls, Dulux’s Flax Seed colour sets off the contemporary kitchen units. This modern classic kitchen offers plenty of cupboard space that meets any family’s needs perfectly. The subdued palette of grey and white creates a warm and inviting yet functional space. This warmth is then further enhanced by the wood dining table adding a hint of nature’s understated beauty.
The homely feel of the room is created by Dulux’s Quartz Grey walls providing a backdrop to comfortable furniture, neutral textures and colours. The darker hem of the cushions is beautifully mirrored by the dark frames of the artwork. Metallic accessories and earthy tones complete the luxurious look.
The grey toned feature wall combined with the subtle white of the other walls create a restful colour palette in Bedroom 2. For the white shades, Dulux’s Indian White was used. Whilst the feature, Dulux’s Pebble Grey complements the neutral furniture and shimmery accessories. The pattern of the cushions enhance the elusive hint of blue in the wall paint.
The master bedroom reminds us of a luxurious hotel with its walk through wardrobe and classy, timeless design. Here the walls are painted in Dulux’s earthy Mud Lark and Quartz-Grey
Each bedroom having an en-suite bathroom is a luxury that makes this type of house special. To tie in with the colour scheme of the house the bathrooms are painted, Quartz Grey, Indian White and Roman White. Using the same colours create a natural flow throughout any space and these colours work beautifully with the natural marble tiles.
